The window three tableau was inspired by one of my favorite cabinet cards, showing a man in a starry dress and white stockings brandishing a frilly whip. The back of the card says “this is Al Stoddard” but gives no clues about what Al was up to.

Here Al gets to direct a scene containing three iron stands with a hornet's nest, a pair of squirrels, and a pile of golden braids.
