Loca Miraculi, Gallery Three: Optical Devices

Two views of another anamorphic mirror illusion, this one with a silver cone rather than a mirrored cylinder. A side view is on the left; on the right you see the image viewed from above, with the original image resolved on the cone.

The print used for the illusion comes from Robert John Thornton's The Temple of Flora, 1802-1812.
